BANGKOK, Feb 11 - Pheu Thai Party spokesman Prompong Nopparit today rejected a report that ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has urged the government to hold talks with protesters to find a political resolution for Thailand.

He said there was no such proposal though he personally agreed with having a dialogue.

"In case of negotiations, the caretaker government - and not the Pheu Thai Party - will be involved in it," he said.

He also ruled out a Democrat deputy spokesperson's allegation that the Pheu Thai Party hired migrant workers to create unrest at anti-government rally sites.

He called on Mallika Boonmeetrakul, the deputy spokesperson, to produce evidence to substantiate the charge and filed a complaint with police.

Meanwhile, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) denied an allegation in the social media that it has intentionally delayed an investigation to remove Ms Yingluck Shinawatra from the caretaker premiership for negligence of duty relating to malpractice in the controversial rice pledging scheme.

The NACC said the fact-finding process and investigation in the case has been straightforwardly conducted in accord with the legal process and time frame.

The allegation has tarnished the NACC's reputation and the agency will take legal action if such an unscrupulous activity continues, it warned. (MCOT online news)

It's not surprising for Prompong to rule out dialogue. Pheu Thai doesn't do dialogue. Pheu Thai have never been engaged in dialogue with anybody. They don't talk to the protesters. They don't talk to the farmers. They don't talk to the EC. They don't talk to the NACC. They don't even talk to each other, since no one in the administration seems to match their narrative with anyone else's. They talk to Thaksin, or rather they listen to him. So with a history like that - why would they begin to have dialogue now ?

Second, Yingluck will lose caretaker status on April 1, you are correct. In that case, as stated in Article 3 of the Constitution, the sovereign power temporarily entrusted to the government via the electoral process will be handed back to the people. And since a country cannot function without a government, a new prime minister can be appointed to form an interim government via Article 7 of the Constitution. The president of the Senate will forward the name of the candidate to serve as Thailand's next prime minister to His Majesty the King for royal endorsement.

The rice scheme has busted. nobody cause them in this plight except their own greediness. but worse, they destroy the innocent farmers lives. And now the legal way is coming. They need to solve it peacefully with the protesters fast not because they care about the people but more worried for the aftermath, what is the future of the shinawatra family.

Defend the crooks to your hearts content, repeat this mantra continuously, Yinglucks family doesn't want power, only peace. Repeat as often as necessary to convince yourself.
