Hi guys,

I like these little trucks and want to get 1 for the wife as a surprise. I have seen a gold coloured one for sale at 60,000 but I will bid him down to 50000. The only issue for me is that it has 240,000 km's on the clock. That's a lot for such a small engine. This will be just a run around so the wife can sell stuff at the local markets.

Anyone have any experience of these little trucks? Are the KM's too much? is it a good little runner?

I have seen them for 80,000 - 100,000 so this is a good price.

Any advice is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. wai2.gif

OP - Not a lot for that engine - they're 1600 cc aren't they? which actually isn't that small for a vehicle that size.

They are also incredibly simple and therefore easy and lo-cost to maintain. They are common so spare parts (2nd-hand0 should be everywhere and all you need then is a local grease-monkey and you should be fine.

Oh BTW I'm assuming you meant "NV"?

As it's a low kms for it's age vehicle 50000 baht is a good price but is that the only surprise the wife will get if it hasn't got PAS and her arms end up Mr Universe stylew00t.gif .

I have one.

seems indestructible, reminds me of a Volkswagen Golf 2.

very cheap to fix but drinks a lot of gasoline and has a small tank.

although at 60.000 I suspect it's in bad condition.

A NV is a good first buy.It was the first car I bought in LOS more than 4 years ago and I'm still using it.

Don't worry too much about the Km. The Nissan 1600 engine uses a timing chain and it is lightly stressed in the NV.

Power Steering can be fitted by many independent Nissan repairers and later models come with PAS.

I'd pay a bit more and go for an automatic.
