The world will soon be rid of the scariest American president in history.

Why?

Exit polls in conservative midwest state Ohio show 90 percent of INDEPENDENT voters are ANGRY with Bush. The solid republicans and democrats are going to vote with their party. These swing voters are the key. And it is widely felt that if the democrats can take Ohio, the presidency is theirs.

Bush's credibility is shot. The Al Queda terrorist who recently killed hundreds in Iraq was targetted by the US military THREE TIMES during the run up to the war in Iraq. THREE TIMES the raid was called off in favor of organizing the attack Hussein and Iraq, a country now proven to be no direct threat to the US. What ever happened to the international war on terrorism and Al Queda? Thrown away for the bizaree Dr. Strangelove new world order machinations of the Bush Cheney regime.

I never thought the American people were stupid enough to elect George Bush even once. The MAJORITY spoke in 2000, but he squeaked with the electoral college and a biased supreme court decision about Florida. However, my contention still holds. He will not be so lucky this time. The emperor has no clothes.

DEMOCRATS ARE infuriated; Republicans rejoiced. Ralph Nader has announced his intention to enter the presidential sweepstakes as an independent. The Scylla and Charybdis of third party campaigns is daunting but beside the point. Nader as spoiler to John Kerry's campaign is the issue. The pundits maintain that Gore/Lieberman were denied the White House in 2000 because Nader siphoned off votes. An unthinkable replay is in the offing. Many people, myself included, have abandoned all hope for the future of America, the world. Our economy, our democracy, our environment, will collapse. President Bush, an instrument of corporate America, has played his part magnificently. The power of corporations is now unstoppable and perfectly lethal to everything and everyone on earth, including the minuscule mob currently profiting from their predations. There is no point in allowing that only a miracle will save us. There are no miracles.

Most Americans, by any measure, are clueless to the point of moral imbecility. This is, after all, an alleged democracy, and democracy means responsibility to make informed decisions as a citizen. Americans simply don't care, don't understand, don't pay attention. Nader knows that things are critical. He knows how to fix them.

So accuse Ralph Nader of treason. Blame him for all the world's ills. But know that you were warned and that you chose to shoot the messenger. The truth will not set you free. The truth will destroy you. This is the lesson of Ralph Nader.

Perhaps this deserves its own thread. But if the Bushies caught OBL, do you think we would ever hear about it?

No, no, no, no. Hear me out.

Consider the underwhelming global accolades, as well as the military consequences in Iraq when Saddam's capture was announced. NOt exactly a ringing endorsement of bagging the big game.

Consider that GWB has built his entire presidency on being the "War on Terrorism™ President. If OBL were caught, many would declare the WOT over and GWB no longer necessary (humor me.)

Consider how much money has been thrown at the military-industrial complex to aid the WOT. Think any of them would want to report quarterly earnings after the war ended? Anyone out there want to be holding shares when the capture was announced?

Consider the grief Bush has taken for his administration's treament of all the faceless, nameless detainees^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^HEnemy Combatants in Guantanamo. OBL incarcerated would be a spectacle, bloody Theatre, that. Magazine covers, Larry King Live interviews from Camp X, Johnny Cochran press releases, a Jesse Jackson humanitarian visit, Geraldo Rivera groping OBL's beard in search of the Holy Grail, Billy Crystal hosting a Roast.

Can you even imagine what some of the world's loonies, er, more committed individuals would do to express their displeasure or satisfaction at OBL's capture? The mind boggles at the potential for mayhem and carnage. On the way home from success in Iraq and Afganistan, GWB asks the troops to stop off in Pyongyang. Surprise the h3ll out Kim Jong Il. (Bush to Roh: "Sorry about the brief, if devastating DPRK artillery raining down on Seoul. It's for the Greater Good, y'see.") Think the deaths caused by suicide bombers is appalling? What happens when a whole country straps one on? Thank God there is water on Mars, the 20 million dollar space tourists would come out of the bleeding woodwork.

Maintaining the status quo looks better and better to GWB and his sycophants and sophists.

Having OBL behind bars would be Bush's worst nightmare. OBL is far more valuable as a relentlessly (and interminably) pursued focus of our fear. Review Orwell's Animal Farm for a refresher.

No, my friends, OBL's capture will not be reported unless and until GWB is a lame duck.

Quite a fantasy, but I think that Bush would rather win the election.

About the War on Terrorism, Bush knows full well that once Bin Ladin is vanquished, another head will pop up to replace him. Maybe lots of heads.

Simply amazing, reading Thaiquila's and adjan jb's postings--simply amazing how little you know of the U.S. and how it works, yet you post as if you do. You know nothing, or at most, you understand very, very little of what is going on in America, what is going on with the war on terror, etc.

For instance, do you really think that the hunt for OBL stopped with the beginning of the operation in Iraq? Are you really that naive? Ever hear of covert operations? The war on terror is a different kind of war, one not always waiged the way you expect to see it.

Lil Bush finished? Highly doubtful - the man is very shrewd politician and is no idiot, regardless of what most of the world may think. I seriously doubt Kerry will even be a challenge for him because he isn't really a good alternative. Lil Bush would have had a better competition out of Edwards.

Look for something major to happen prior to the Elections in Nov. My guess UBL will be caught.

There may be "Trouble in River City" as the expression goes. Talk now goes that Kerry may have Slick Willy as his running mate. People may even pay to watch Bill Clinton debate Dick Cheney! What a thought...

The first objection, the constitutional one, can be disposed of easily. The US Constitution does not prevent Clinton from running for vice president. The 22nd Amendment, which became effective in 1951 begins: "No person shall be elected to the office of president more than once."

For Kerry, a northern liberal, having Slick Willy, a southerner on the ticket would work for the Dems but there goes the country! Back to high taxes, poor national security and increased interest rates...
