Illegal Entries From Laos And Cambodia Being Scrutinized

Actions are sought against illegal entry to Ubon Ratchathani from Laos and Cambodia

A senior government official warns that the influx of illegal immigrants from Laos and Cambodia into Ubon Ratchathani may lead to the spread of AIDS and human trafficking business.

Wetchayan Annopporn (เวชยันต์ อรรณพพร), chief of Ubon Ratchathani Social Development and Human Security Office, said many illegal aliens who are working in entertainment outlets are at risk of being lured into prostitution where they could be infected with AIDS.

Mr. Wetchayan said many may fall victims to human traffickers. He urged the government to stepping up campaign against illegal entry from neighbouring countries.

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

What pray tell is the difference between "working in the entertainment industry" and prostitution? I mean, is there some special musical or entertainment skills that women from Cambodia and Laos have that would make them work in Thailand?

The basic point is, they are probably already at risk of AIDS, as are the people they are "entertaining".
