Can a tenancy agreement be backdated?

Hello

Can a Thai tenancy agreement starts before the day it is signed ?

I checked in my country it makes it invalid, a tenancy starts from or after the signing date.

Is it different here ?

Assuming both parties have no objection (they signed didn't they) I don't see a real issue, when we first came to Thailand many years ago we signed our tenancy agreement about a week after we moved in, move in date on the agreement was the day we actually arrived.

What's the background??
