Popular Post webfact
Flighting, my president: Yingluck's warm welcome goes wrongBy Coconuts Bangkok“Fighting, fighting, fighting!” has become a Thai expression pulled from English vocabulary.BANGKOK: -- The ladies at an OTOP complex in Saraburi province warmly welcomed Yingluck Shinawatra yesterday and decided to put up a sign, suggesting she should keep up the good “flight.”The sign says "You are my idol don't be worry for anything. Everything will be O.K. I love you My president. Flighting!"The canvas sign, which aimed to show the Prime Minister support, contained one misspelling, making it the “Uneducate people” of 2014.Predictably the mistake turned into an object of internet ridicule, as Yingluck snapped a photo [read more...]Full story: http://bangkok.coconuts.co/2014/02/25/flighting-my-president-yinglucks-warm-welcome-goes-wrong -- Coconuts Bangkok 2014-02-25
Popular Post siampolee
One wonder whether the good ladies of O.T.O.P. in Saraburu might have been making a somewhat less than subtle comment. http://youtu.be/7DYA1raD-YY

Popular Post djjamie
They think she is the president as well. This seems to be a litmus test of the intelligence of her voter base apparently. She really is a flight risk though. The UDD are a fight risk. Popular Post NongKhaiKid
I'm sure these good ladies, all loyal Thais, had no idea that the title ' President ' implies a republic. Why did they not just stick to Thai ? YL isn't exactly the best English speaker around, forget her degree from Kentucky State which may be ' iffy ' to say the least.

Costas2008
Doesn't matter the mistake......the Lady is a good PR person........she knows how to smile and how to cry when needed. But that's all......she shouldn't be near a position of Prime minister or any political position what so ever. As she lack's of any intelligence or political experience she is drugging this country to the worst. Ms Yingluck, just stick fraternising with the OTOP ladies till your time comes to stay home. Artisi
Well at least she took time off from her very busy schedule of getting the country back onto its feet - the pressure must be horrendous - war cabinet meetings, keeping Chalerm's booze supply up to date, hair, nail and beautician appointments, ducking and weaving so as not to have to meet anyone of importance AND attend extremely important OTOP fairs - Oh! the pressure is getting me down.
Popular Post Fryslan boppe
An obvious attempt to denigrate the Prime Minister. "Yingluck's warm welcome goes wrong"...But a warm welcome it was indeed. No-one should make the mistake of underestimating her and the huge electoral respect she commands. PAD-Dem's are not trying to nullify elections for nothing. Denigration like that only plays in PAD-Dem circles, and they make the mistake of believing it....But on the other hand, being very afraid of elections, including the current one. Ridiculing someone who kicks ass in elections is unbecoming....It has the aura of grasping at straws. The UDD/RS also like to ridicule the PAD-Dem's for their blanket denigration of their political opposites as being 'uneducated'...The pro-electoral democrats wear it as a badge of honor....They can afford to do that is those who make such statements are on the political outside, looking in....They are the foolish ones, especially when they cannot grasp the difference between education and being 'politicized'. Are you suggesting the OTOP people did this deliberately? I don't think anyone could underestimate Yingluck. JusMe
Even more errors there: "You are my idol don't be worry for anything. Everything will be O.K. I love you My president. Flighting!" You are my idol (period) Don't be worried about anything. Everything will be O.K. I love you (comma) my president (obvious error) Flighting!" And the final wrong word, obviously.
