I live outside of Thailand for 6 months of the year, but my wife lives in Thailand year round. I am on 1-year extensions to my Non-Imm Visa. So far I have always gotten the Single Re-entry Permit because it's all I really need and because it's only 1,000 baht as opposed to 3,800 baht for the Multiple Entry. But what happens if there is an emergency with my wife or her family and I have to return to Thailand to take care of this. My Single Entry is then used up. Can I then get another Single Re-entry Permit if I want to go back to Europe? Or do I then have to pay for the Multiple Re-entry? Or am I then not permitted to buy a new Re-entry Permit at all until I am on my next 1-year extension to my non-Imm Visa?? Does anyone out there know?

There is no limit to the number of single entry reentry permits one can buy in a year. If someone knows they will go in and out 4 or more times during the year it's worth getting the multi reentry initially but if you don't think it will be that many times, perfectly ok to buy them as you need them.

Thanx for the swift reply!
