AEON ATM's now charging 150 Baht Fee

Featured Replies

I accessed the AEON ATM at Carre-Four tonight and was surprised that when making an overseas or international withdrawal, I was hit with the 150 Baht terminal fee as they call it. Thai Banks began charging this fee several years or so ago, but AEON was the only bank I was aware of that did not charge this fee. It was explained at the time that AEON did not charge the fee because it was an international bank, not a Thai bank.

So what gives; why is AEON, after all this time, followed in the footpath of all of the Thai local banks? Does anyone have any inside information on this as it sure caught me by surprise?

Thanks,

David

OP, this is old news and been well discussed on TV and the Internet. Use the search function.

Oh boy, another person who thinks they should have access to banking networks that cost billions if dollars to build for free.

The ATM networks were built to save banks money. AEON was not providing that service for "free". Fundamental lack of understanding on how an ATM network works. Not going to discuss further as there are so many threads on Aeon and this subject.
