Today I passed a Tundra with red license plates in Pattaya, exactly as in the picture but white color.

If you google Toyota Tundra Thailand, you will get plenty of Thai forums with pictures of the Tundra in Thailand.

Yes, Tundra's are frequent visitors from Laos every weekend in Udon Thani, along with Ford Raptors.

But just like the one in Pattaya, they still all have the steering wheel on the wrong bloody side.

A laos visitor wouldn't have red license plates, would it ?

No they wouldn't. What I was suggesting that someone in Thailand (Pattaya) has imported one (silly money) as you can't order them from the local Toyota dealerships. They are not marketed much of anywhere out of US, Canada and (possibly) Lat Am... AFAIK.

Although a nice looking 'man sized' pickup, it must be a bugger getting parts like filters and other consumables. Shopping trips in Laos maybe? Getting it serviced in LOS would be perilous IMHO... unless one pops over to Vientiane. Since I assume these mills are US manufactured/assembled, what would be the service interval? My old Dodge Ram was still in the 5000 mile recommended oil change and these newer, smaller plants on the local market seem to have double that recommended. I wonder if this new engine technology has impacted the US V8 engine much... and if they still 'bleed' on the driveway when doing absolutely nothing. Edited by NanLaew

Whatever toyota bring out next let's hope it's not called a "Hilux Vigo Champ". Champ......there was an old Mitsubishi from the 80's called that. The badges even look similar.

If it was a white color than it was probably the same car I've seen, so the plot thickens.

With the black looking windows and a 3" higher ride you saw the driver was on the same side as you?

Pictures or it never happened.

It was white and the steering wheel location was easily identified as the driver (Thai guy) was standing there with the right front door open ready to climb in. Edited by Spoonman
