Where to get engraved name-tags made?

Featured Replies

A couple groups I'm involved with are getting tired of using those sticky name tags (that don't really stick to most fabrics) or plastic name tags with handwritten names for our functions. We're thinking of getting name tags made for the members, with the club logo and the member's name engraved on the name tag. You know, similar to the tags worn by shop clerks and restaurant workers, only maybe a little larger. I looked around Kad Suan Kaew and couldn't locate a shop that make this type of name tag.

Admittedly KSK may not be the best place to look, but since I don't manage employees in a shop or restaurant, I'm totally clueless about where to go next to inquire about buying personalized name tags -- for about 30 people.

Any ideas? It would be nice if the supplier is located reasonably close to KSK since I have to use song thaews or tuk tuks to get around.

Thanks!

It took just 17 minutes for this thread to degenerate. As was pointed out in the deleted thread, I'm involved in various other groups. A couple of those groups -- much smaller -- would like to have name-tags for their members to use during their meetings -- not in public.

So does anyone have anything meaningful to contribute?

Nancy,

Since you have seen tags similar to what you want being worn in shops and restaurants, why don't you ask at one of those places? Ask the manager or owner of course.

You can get them made at the army type surplus shop at the end of Propokklau opposite the footy ground....chang puak junction.

They have a selection of styles to choose from.

I reckon you can buy a gas mask there aswell......if not already sold out.

Hi Nancy,

If you got to the west side (old city side) of Nakornping bridge and if facing the bridge on the left corner you will see a small shop that makes engraved brass or stainless steel name tags, just print out what you want and they can make from that.

They don't have a computer so take the print outs with you. Lovely people and great quality, think they make name tags for police aswell.

Very happy that I could help you - and I for one know how much effort you put into helping so many people in the local community and your efforts are greatly appreciated by many.

Nancy, some years ago we found the only place that was able to assist with engraving was the Book Store at the Airport Plaza. (I think it is part of Robinson's.)

We had a Pen engraved but had to wait for it to be sent to BKK, so I don't know if things have improved.

Cheers,

Murray.
