Tia Pugh Donor Drive Schedule

Featured Replies

The Thai Red Cross will continue to update us on its upcoming donor drives, which we hope will find an HLA match for little Tia Pugh. (HLA is used in determining suitable candidates for stem cell transplants, which is what Tia needs.)

Below is what is coming up next week.

While there exists a chance anyone of any race could be a match for Tia, the odds are a match will come from someone of mixed heritage, like Tia, who is half Caucasian and half Asian. So if you or a friend are Eurasian, it is particularly urgent that you register.

Both the registration and testing process are simple, free, confidential, and take only a few minutes.

Tia has to win the lottery to find a match, but people win the lottery everyday with one ticket, and it only takes one person to be the match that can save Tia's life. It might be you, or someone you know.

Some members have PM'd asking for a flyer to hand out. The flyer below can be downloaded and printed for anyone who wishes to get a group together and travel to BKK to register, as some have kindly offered to do.

Or, it can simply be passed out. Be advised, while the FB page is up, the website is still under construction.

Thanks, everyone.
