Be careful and ensure a thorough background check is available - especially if you have kids. One agency sent me a drug-addict with a record of theft and drug offenses and unsurprisingly she remained true to form. We only found out when her boyfriend called my wife to inform her. We prosecuted for theft and she went to jail.

If possible, personal recommendations are good. If you are in a condo, you might be able to get some from other residents or management .

There are NO good maid agencies... that is why the response is slow if anything.

Best is world-of-mouth...

If you are in a apartment... check the building cleaners.

Not a great solution but it is a start.

Good luck!

I havent heard of any good experience using agencies- and any half decent maid or nanny has no need to use an agency. Start with thaivisa classified, bambinet website, british club boards, US embassy boards- walk up to maids/ nannies of your friends and ask if they know anyone. If you find a good one- pay her well to keep her- we pay our nanny of 5 years, 14K (increase to 15k soon) plus one month bonus plus @20k per year for her kids university costs.
