Health insurance for expat family ... Looking for advice

Featured Replies

We've lived in Chiang Mai for three years. Visit the hospital every so often and so far have paid put of pocket, as costs are not bad. However, I am the careful type who is starting to worry about not having insurance in case there is an unexpected huge medical issue. I am 35, husband is 39, and our son is 3.

I have read many posts here on the forum and have researched online but still feel overwhelmed because I don't really know how to find the best insurance. Is there a broker in Chiang Mai that I can talk to that anyone knows of? Any advice or direction is appreciated. I'm from the U. S. If that matters but don't often go there and do not carry any American coverage.

Contact the sponsor, AA Insurance Brokers. I have my car insurance there and am happy with the advice and service provided.

Google A+ Insurance Its a Swiss company with a main office in Hong Kong The have a special Asia insurance

You can contact them online its also cheap

We've been with William Russell for many years. They are out of the UK and we've always been happy with their coverage options.

If either or you are working, you should also make sure you are covered under the Thai social security system.
