Champagne isn't quite the demographic of 7-Eleven. The "highest-class" drink they sell is Black Label, and the bottles in most stores must be 20 years old, because most of the farangs who buy at 7-Eleven in Bangkok buy a bottle of Siam Sato (or a big Archa if it's their birthday) and a pack of Wonder cigs and that's the extent of their nightly entertainment on their 25k a month teacher's salary. Besides, most of them are saving up for their 20th tattoo. And the step outside the same 7-Eleven is the best place to sit savouring said bottle of Sato washed down with a few of those wonderful Wonder cigs whilst ogling the ladyboys they desperately want but know they'll never be able to afford. And they think Lambrini or Asti Spumante is a classy brand of champagne and might consider having that at their wedding.

For champers, try the Gourmet Market in the basement of Terminal 21, though I believe it closes at 10. Tops and Villa Market also stock it too, though some plebs do shop there too...

Go on, get it off your chest. Sounds like you needed a good anti teacher rant.

As for champagne at 7-11, never saw it there.

Tesco lotus sells Moët cost 3900 baht, failing that buy at the airport and carry it on plane so long as you don't have more than a litre you can steam through customs at bangers.

Hmmm, somehow I don't think you will be in Zen bar at all, considering it went bankrupt and closed down over a month ago. It was shuttered for a few weeks, now another bar called B.S. Bar or something like that has opened up in its place.

Maybe you can just park your convertible Rolls-Royce on the street outside Nana Plaza and drink champagne, then no need to go into the bar?

Champagne (not to be confused from sparkling wine or proseco) is very expensive in Thailand due to same luxury tax imposed on wines. It is widely available in most supermarkets but never seen it in a 7-11 (not the kind of place that would stock 3500+ Baht items). Suggest you buy duty free, if you run out, and need a to do a visa run, most border duty free shops as in Nong Khai or Poipet will stock - usually around 1200-1500 a bottle.
