BKK Poll: People back the idea of having intermediate PM

that's not what 20mln at the polling stations wanted, and many many millions more, who were prevented from the voting. Just what a few hundred/a few thousand at Lumpini park would like to force on the voters.

as to neutrality of those proposed intermediate PM, both were were actively involved in 2006 military coup, which abolished a democratic constitution. Besides, both of them are in the late 80-ties, they are sick and can die any day. A perfect place to jump by suthep and his neutral clan

I don't know how well this poll was conducted, however you should understand the value of statistics. Also, given the very low voter turnout and the rumoured results, it's anyone's guess as to how a new election will turn out. You should also remember that a PM that is 20 years old could also die any day. Ageist!

" According to the Bangkok Poll, Thai people back the idea of having a neutral prime minister to spearhead political reform before a general election is held"

The Thai electoral majority who elected Ms. Y. does not hold this opinion.

Trying to 'launder the agenda of the coup-mongers and their supporters" via a phony Poll is very obvious, and an insult to one's intelligence to imply otherwise.

This electoral majority are pro-democratic and favor expediting reform, whatever that means, via Parliament. That way those representing the populace nation-wide can debate and consult on issues of Governance.

Governance, where ???? you Cadbury's fruit and.......YINGLUCK WAS NOT ELECTED, her brother placed her there. Tell truth. please. Before the protests they never thought about reform only AMNESTY.

She was elected, we voted her in, she won 70 seats previously held by the Democrat grouping. The elections were under a Democrat government. We voted them out.

Abhisit of the democrats had previously promised 'constitutional reform' to try to quell protests at how he got into power despite losing the election. He didn't delivery any of those.

The premier said during his weekly television address Sunday morning that the UDD can continue their protest if they do not violate the law. Mr. Abhisit also said that a committee to consider Constitutional amendments and political reform has been set up in an attempt to restore peace to society.

And when the elite stop blocking elections, we'll elect her again and not their puppet. Which is what they fear and they know and why EC can't even propose any date by which they will hold an election, and Abhisit is so keen to delay elections at all costs.

Unless I am badly mistaken Thaksin appointed her. WE--voted her in ????? The courts will ELECT next not the B/box. By the way how much ground have YOU lost since the Gross mismanagement of Thai government money. I'll not name them all, you look them up. find a link to this question.

Correct. Yingluck is an appointed PM. Any of the elected or party list MP's could have been appointed as PM, though the appointment was decided before the election and she was destined to be either a PM or an opposition party leader (since being number one on the party list guaranteed her election even if only Shinatwara's voted for her). (okay a little rhetoric there - anyone at the top of the party list of any major party is essentially guaranteed a position in parliament). As we read in an earlier article, Thaksin will also appoint the next leader of the PTP government or opposition, and it might be Yingluck again.

this article only goes to prove the desperation of the yellow shirt propaganda journalists.

today is a dodgy poll, tomorrow its a 3 person "group" of "academics" pushing their yellow shirt agenda , and yesterday it was another 3 person "group" of doctors with their yellow shirt spin on it.

being drip fed such bias nonsense via the domestic thai press, no wonder we have such a vibrant yellow shirt farang contingent on here. my guess is its pure laziness. independent critical thinking can be difficult for some, being spoonfed is so, so much easier.

My God you people are unbelievable.

Its an opinion/sample poll. If this poll was just the opposite in reaction it would be gospel for you lunatics.

Get over it and just accept the facts, this and every government before are/were corrupt and people do not accept this any more and they want reform.

That beer did get into your keyboard, because you type in yellow every post -it typed it automatically again.

Are you lacking understanding--you think that anyone that opposes the Government is YELLOW. and how many times has it been pointed out to you there are a dozen other choices of opposition.

If anyone is drip fed it is you and the other nine pro gov apologists that keep pushing your agenda.

Yelllow shirts?

Do you realise that wearing coloured shirts so you can determine fellow travellers without having to engage in a coherent conversation is so passé.... even in Thailand.

Do try to keep up there's a good chap! thumbsup.gif
