Hello,

Since a few days, I experience some problems when loading page on Internet with TRUE Online at home.

This is not systematic, but I often get an error message on my Chrome browser : "No data received - Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data"

I have to "refresh the page/link" 2 or 3 times, before the page load correctly.

It seems that this problem can happen on any websites.

Thank you in advance if you have an idea to solve the problem.

If you are using Trues DNS servers try changing to Googles DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) , had the same problem this am on one machine that was using DNS from True.

I believe regular True users have no DNS, so we are delivered in the hands of the bandwidth dealers.

Seems however, these days, same like OP I have same problems like not even linking up to the selected website,

IMO your data set didn't even leave the True provider. However, mostly international pings that suck.

When you make a complaint, you get a nutty younster on the line that will help you check your connection.

Nothing wrong with my connection or my puter. What a joke. It is all about what the dealers decide. Who pays most gets the best.

I am having similar problems at four locations (home, friend's place - both standard connections, office - fixed IP, sports bar - 100mb) all on True.

Someone mentioned that True were having problems with their international connections.

Anyone have any idea what the issues are?

Seems like you are momentarily loosing your connection before getting another connection.

Google for "IP address" and test to see if the IP address connection is changing every few minutes.

I think this also accounts for the True connection problems I am having.

If you are in Pattaya area then many are having this problem - also 3BB is down this morning (as it was most of yesterday)

I'm on a True DOCSIS 15Mb/1.5Mb plan and primarily use Chrome...I've been seeing a lot of the "No Data Received" screens for the last two weeks or so when using Chrome....using the Google DNS servers don't help...using the recommendations you can find in googling the problem "No Data Recived" problem don't help...I've tried a bunch of things and nothing helps. When I switch to my secondary browser IE11, I never have such a problem. I think it's just a Chrome compatibility issue....yes, even Chrome can have bugs/issues in their newer browser releases/updates.

Don't worry about Chrome. It happens on IE 11 and Firefox too

I just know I can surf for 30 minutes using Chrome and get the problem several times....and I can surf for 30 minutes using IE11 and never get the problem. Haven't tried FF as I gave Chrome, IE, and FF equal use several months ago for several weeks and decided I liked Chrome best, IE second, and FF third....I then uninstalled FF from my computers.

Pib, forget the browser, just test for your ipaddress and see if your connection is changing.

Your unique ipaddress is setup once you connect. If the service provider breaks and supplies a new connection it will be up to your browser to establish a new connection, most probably from it's cache.

Ipaddress.com will give you your unique ipaddress.

It's not my ip address changing as my ip address don't change that often...definitely no more than once a day....I still feel it's just Chrome. Chrome also has some issues on certain websites like the Bangkok Bank search function where IE doesn't. IE11 on my primarily laptop running Win 8.1, IE11 on second laptop running Win 7, and IE8 on my third laptop ruining XP all hooked to my True internet plan don't experience this problem which has got worst over the last few weeks when also using Chrome on all three laptops.

It's not a big headache (not at all) but the issue did not use to occur for me. Normally when I reload the page the data comes through on this second try. When googling you can see many people in other countries also have this issue with Chrome...and there are always about a half dozen same possible fixes recommended like reloading Chrome, etc.

Chrome is probably the fastest browser based on tests and my personal experience...maybe it's just Chrome programming is tweaked to be just a little too fast when operating on some ISPs.

The problem is surely with True. I've been having the same problem lately as well.

If True is the problem then hopefully a lot of the True engineers/techs will be using Chrome on their home True service (assuming they didn't go with another ISP's service) and get tried of seeing the No Data Received message and fix the True service...one can dream.biggrin.png

Sometimes I think this is the only way system problems end-up getting fixed is when the company engineers/techs personally experience the problem at home and give feedback to the company versus complaints/feedback from customers.

Where I mentioned other people across the world have the same problem, I just googled "No Data Received Chrome".....here's the Google hits I got: Link

It's not a new problem...been around for a while...I figure it's just compatibility issues between Chrome and whatever ISP service a person is using since I don't experience the problem with IE....and when Chrome is upgraded or your ISP's service upgraded (i.e., don't mean a speed upgrade but the ISP updating software/firmware/hardware on their system) that the problem may get worst or completely go away. And I expect whatever operating system/computer hardware a person has may be a factor also. And if you review some of the hits you'll see the problem does occur in other browsers also, but Chrome apparently leads the pack by a mile with this problem. Just another one of those little problems we can experience with internet usage. I'll probably live through it, but still bitch about it. tongue.png

It's been bad for over a month now. Technical support actually told me to get another internet connection in the house from a different ISP as backup if True isn't working. The third level support team I talked to didn't even know the difference between TCP and UDP protocols, and this is pretty basic stuff if you know networking. (currently using 3G DTAC on my mobile as a tether to the computer)

Is there a Facebook page anywhere that we can dump complaints into? I checked Twitter and there's nothing.

Andy.

Right after posting above I decided to "Reset" Chrome using the instructions at the Google Support page...easy enough to do...all I had to do after hitting the Reset Browser Settings button in Chrome Settings was to reestablish my Chrome homepage and reactivate the four extensions I use....you don't get anything important deleted/nuked (except your cookies and site data which immediately starts getting reestablished once you start using Chrome again...you don't lose your Bookmarks or anything important). I had already tried earlier using Chrome without the extensions activated...didn't help. Less painful than Resetting IE where you end-up have to do more to get back to your preferred setup, Toolbars in use, etc. Anyway, after doing the Chrome Reset it only took 12 minutes to get another No Data Received message when trying to go to a site....click the retry button and then it pulls up the page....just gets annoying when you see this too much....I'll live.

I'll probably jinx myself with this post but last night at 8:35pm I cleared on my Chrome Browsing history (again) while signed into my google account and while signed off. Now I've done this several times over the last few weeks when Chrome started acting up but it never helped, but this time it may have fixed my problem with the "No Data Received" message appearing frequently...or if the problem was with True and it's been fixed at least for me. I also checked the Chrome version I'm running and it hasn't changed from when I was having getting the error, so it probably wasn't a Chrome auto update fix.

In fact it's now been over 24 hours since clearing the history and I have not had even one No Data Received error message in Chrome--and I've tried hard to get the error....and it been weeks since I've been able to go a 24 hour period within getting the No Data Received message.

Yeap, knock on wood....time will tell as I know 24 hours ain't a long period but it's just I couldn't even make a few hours before without getting the No Data Received message.

Been having the same problem. Sometimes websites won't load at all, or it's a certain page on a website. Safari, IE, Chrome all the same problem. Connected via wifi to my AIS 3G phone and I can access the pages, so it's definitely something up with True or my router. Usually persists for a day or two and then the website will start working again.

Continuing to knock on wood....now been 48 hours and no problems with Chrome...it really seems the clearing of my Chrome Browsing History as mentioned above did the trick. I'm on True in Bangkok. Knock on wood (my head).

Well, knocking on wood didn't help....I got to about the 70 hour point with none of those "No Data Received" messages from Chrome...but now I'm getting them again on some sites...if I click reload the site will come up....clearing the History like I did before don't help. When visiting the same site using IE11 I don't get the problem...IE just loads the site on first try. I think Chrome is just more picky in terms of data receipt. And it's the time of night when the connection to international websites slows down probably due to folks jumping on their home computers like kids being home from school and adults home from work. Oh well, the problem is a minor one.

Guys,

I believe this is a gateway problem. Something must have happened to their international gateway. I also use True Internet. Now if these problems come along, I first use a True Internet proxy server. If it still does not improve, I connect to my Digital Ocean proxy server in Singapore. If not again, I use VPN services.

Lately none works, all are slow, even my bittorrent connections slowed down.

The only sites that are fast are the ones hosted with True or Thailand-based. In fact, you can watch streaming Thai TV channels with no delay.

Google is fast though because I think they have a local data center here.

Hi again,

Last few days, I experienced other strange problem with TRUE.

Some websites are using font.googleapis.com and the browser cannot access it, mean my browser remains in white screen.

As a lot of websites are using font.googleapis.com (like thaivisa.com), this is a very big problem.

Anybody else have this problem with TRUE ?

Last night and today the worst yet with True. Firefox or Chrome, it matters not. Barely able to browse at all. Usually its the Thaivisa site that is much worse than others, but now the plague has hit everywhere. Ridiculous. facepalm.gif
