And what's funny is the mayor is running on his platform of making Patong better just as he's been overseeing for the last several years. I wonder where all the money went that was ear marked for the road from hell that has never been finished?

Wasn't this road completely finished already but destroyed again by heavy construction traffic?

GOM, yes it's certainly quieter, but another reason for reduced traffic on Ratuthit is because 'Third' Road has become more navigable of late and a heck of a lot of traffic has taken to it, relieving Ratuthit and Nanai to some extent.

Still a couple of short (like 10m wide) rough patches near BQuik. Trouble with 3rd road is the double parking all dopwn the road.

It will be a nice and quiet rain season and great for the cycling enthusiasts. The schools closed earlier than usual and open later to synchronize with the ASEAN academic school year and then the traffic dropsthumbsup.gif

Do we remember the joful rants of the BIB thatthey had fixed the problem of parking along beach road - Less people mean more tuk tuks parked!! beach road, and all of the parallel roads are 2 or 3 deep!
