Immigration

Featured Replies

I sent my 90 day residence notice form TM47 on 27 Feb. 10 days in advance (although their printed instructions state 7 days in advance) along with a stamped return envelope to the address stated on the Immigration Dept. instructions at:

Immigration Bureau IMM Div. 1

Chalermprakiat Government Complex

120 Moo 3, Chanengwattana, Road Soi 7

Tungsonghong Laksi, Bangkok 10210

This is the same exact procedure I have used for the past 2 years and always received back my Receipt of Notification on or about the 27th, which would have been just over 30 days ago.

I have a copy of my docs sent to Immigration along with a postal receipt. So far, I have not received this Receipt of Notification from Immigration. I had no other address to which to have mailed this form TM47. Since I have heard that the Changwatana Immigration office has been occupied by a mob, presume the Post Office would have forwarded it to some other address.

When I next need to mail the TM47 for the May 27th notification, what do I do if I do not have a Receipt of Notification, which their instructions are to mail the original to them with the TM47.

For Bangkok the rules are 15 days in advance now not 7 days.

You are not the only one waiting for their receipts back. The mailed in reports are being delivered to the temporary office In Lad Phrao.

Just wait a while longer for your receipt to be delivered.

You can check to see if it has been delivered by entering the receipt number here: http://track.thailandpost.co.th/trackinternet/Default.aspx?lang=en

Thanks and my postal receipt is from Mail Box Etc. not the Thai P.O. since MBE is much closer to my residence. Will look for a on line tracking service for MBE as well.

The form Immigration gave me (although a couple years ago) stated 7 days in advance. They sent me a hand written note 2 months ago to mail it 10 days in advance. Is it now 15 days in advance? They keep changing their rules. Just do not want any problem with penalties claiming I did not mail it to them.

It has been 15 days for a couple of years or more. If they have been dong them later it is not a problem apparently.

I think the MBE receipt should still have a Thai post number on it because they are an agent for them.
