Mae Sot police arrest drug smugglers

Mae Sot Police have expanded their investigation into a case of drug dealing, with four suspects in custody, and 20,000 amphetamine pills seized.

Police Major General Prasarn Boonyapan (ประสาน บุญยะปาน), the head of the Tak Provincial Police, led officers to the Hua Ya-u (ห้วยยะอุ) Village in Mae Sot District to arrest Mr. Wirote Pechrakeereerat (วิโรจน์ เพชรคีรีรักษ), who was driving with 20,000 amphetamine pills hidden on his motorcycle.

This led to the further arrest of Mr. Prasert Sangharnchai (ประเสริฐ แสนหาญชัย), who acted as a point man for the drug dealers.

From the investigation, officers have obtained a confession from the suspects alleging that a buyer in Bangkok contracted them to obtain amphetamine pills from the Hmong (ม้ง) hilltribe group in Jedi Koeh (เจดีย์โค๊ะ) Village and distribute them at the Tak Municipal Market.

...who was driving with 20,000 amphetamine pills hidden on his motorcycle...
I am not familiar with the size of those pills but I guess 20 000 of them have to be min. a Lotus-shopingbag full - looks more like carrying than hiding :o .
