We have now had 6 emails in thai and english from various email addresses and the fco telling us 'we have made a

decision on your application ! I won't list them as it does not help. They will send documents by EMS. My wife is being driven wild, me ditto, that none of them say whether they have graciously given her a visa or declined!!!!!!These peopleare either stupid, incompetent, or under instructions to be evasive... or what.>?? As my wife said: it is not difficult,is it?..., to say..yes we have issued a visa or no and the reasons for refusal are in our correspondence. I think the

FCO the British Embassy BKK and the UK government and the agencies they use are a disgrace to the UK

Personally I thinks its OK. Yes we all want to know there and then but for security I think its better. Some Thai ladies will tell everyone visa come, visa come only to find her mail intercepted and her passport sold on, even though you finger prints to land at the UK boarder. EMS is only 2 days for us and had her family all round when she opened her envelope this morning. In case it was not good news she could be supported by her family. Lucky for us the UK V&I believe she will go back to Thailand before visa expires and she got her Class C visit visa again.

Back to watching hours of Thai TV and Britains Got Talant again this summer.

I understand your frustration, loalover88, as I understand it the UKVI send out the email as a matter of routine once the decision has been made, it may even be automated.

The pack containing the passport and documents are returned to VFS, and it's they who send it to you.

Hopefully VFS will receive it tomorrow and send it out the same day, I don't what the delivery schedules are over the long Songkran holiday, but it's possible it may not go out until after the holiday, I really hope I'm wrong.

The problem is that the UK Government contracts out these services to make it more convenient for themselves, with little thought of their "customers".
