Us citizen. If i enter in december with a double entry. Leave thailand before 60 days, return on second 60 day entry, leave again and return by air.

will I automatically get 30 days. Thankyou.

Yes you can get a 30 day visa exempt entry after using your tourist visa.

You can also get 30 day extensions of your 60 day entries at immigration. You can get almost 6 months of stay from a 2 entry tourist visa.

And as a U.S. citizen you don't have to return by air to get 30 days, you will also get 30 days if returning to Thailand by land.
