Hello and Sawasdee Khrap,

I could finally find a school not too far away where we'reliving and will start in beginning of May. I know that I'll have to apply for a new visa in Laos, I'll go to Sawannakhet by the end of this month.

All I want is my April salary and I'm planning to resign on the first of May which gives them two weeks to find somebody. I've actually found two guys, one could replace me.

But I don't really know how their reaction will be, I'm sure they'll try to keep me.

I don't let the director and some good guys there down as they're good to me as well. Will 14 days be long enough according to labor law?

I'm also trying to apply for a Non-O visa,in Sawannakhet, based on my marriage with a Thai citizen. Is that still possible in Sawannakhet without showing financial proof? Will travel to Laos soon with all documents for Non-O, as well for a Non- B, with all the documents from my school.

What documents are needed for the Non-O and Non-B?.

I'm trying to remember for Non-O Non-B

1. Marriage certificate.( Original) 1. Contract in Thai and English.

2. Two photographs. 2. Letter of employment.

3. Copy of wife's ID. 3. Letter from educational area xxxxxx

4. A fee of 3,900 baht. 4. Degree, transcripts, other certificates.

5. Good luck. 5. Two photographs.

6. A fee of 1,900 baht.

7. Good luck.

Did I forget anything? Any advice would be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance. Good day.-wai.gif

I already gave you the list for the multiple entry non-o the fee is 5000 baht. A single entry is 2000 baht (same for non-b ).

You can find their non-b requirements here: http://www.thaisavannakhet.com/savannakhet/th/consulate-service/inspect/

Thanks a lot...sorry forgot to post here that it's already clear. Apologies and thanks again. Great help.

P.S. Just looked up the webpage and saw something about tax declaration..Is that new that they wanna check that people paid tax? wai2.gif .

Your list didn't include the house book.

The tax records are only needed for a non-b if working for a company and you have already been working (different rules). It does not apply for a teacher getting a B visa.

OOps, the house book. Will try to get a Non-O first. If that doesn't work out for whatever reason,

I'll apply for a Non-B, then I'll also take my tax bill etc to Laos. Thanks again. Yep, sometimes the little things are making the difference.

Isn't there a requirement to show tax receipts if you have been working in Thailand and wish to leave?

That requirement went away many many years ago.

Well, stick to your plan and collect the April salary first. I trust Thai HR as far as I can throw an elephant.

Regarding the Visa, just ask for a re-entry T-Visa. That will give you 2 x 60 days and should be good enough.

(Worked for me but they wrote into the Visa stamp that next time I must show financial evidence or something).

Yes, 2 weeks will be fine. Yours truly could go for that 25 k Baht job if no one else will whistling.gif

Hope all goes well!

I'll wait until my April salary is on my bank, then resign. I truly deserved it. Already have somebody who'll replace me, to be fair.

Why would I like to come back on a tourist visa, if I can choose to apply for a Non-B, or Non- O? Because it worked for you, teaching on a tourist visa? Nope.

So closer it gets to sign the contract, so more questions arise. Will they just let me go, or threaten me to pay me decent money? Or a new car?

Once resigned and applying for a new provisional permit and the Khurusapa says no?

Life's too short. Let's live it. -thumbsup.gif
