Just interested to know if there are any private fixed wing or rotary wing pilots active in Thailand and what the requirements might be to operate an aircraft privately on Thai soil; ultralights included. If so; is joint ownership an option here?

Moving to General Topics.

Interesting topic - apart from powered flying I've also been on the look out for gliding clubs (my first licence was flying gliders when I was younger before I moved in to powered flying)

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

I tried . . . but it was one of those weight gain periods. Well, anyway . . . booked a Ceesna 150 or 152, can't remember now and turned up at Sriracha field only for the receptionist to say . . . Sorry, Sir, but you are too big for it. And that was that.

LOL!

Anyway, she could have been talking about the turn out before you hit the mountain!!!

Used to drive across the runway to get to the flying club.

I was a CFI in the states . I ve looked into getting an endorsement here or converting to a Thai lic . For me not worth the money . I opted for a flight simulator . Im able to keep my skils up to par ..... FSX is as real as it gets and if you get the yoke rudder peddles and a few of the other accessories you can enjoy flying again ........ Cost was about $1000.00
