Confirmation letter of International Inward Funds Transfer

I am all set to buy a property here and now BKK Bank is demanding my work permit (which I no longer have) for them to issue a Confirmation letter of International Inward Funds Transfer letter. Seems bizarre since they will let you open an account without one and will let you send money to yourself even if you don't have an account with them (but its a western union type service with larger fees than a normal transfer.)

I have an account with Ayudhaya bank and they said they can do the letter no problem but I need to send to them direct rather BKK Banks method of going via their UK bank in london. This is not a great option as the fees will be a lot higher and I need to get my Thai address and the bank address letter perfect otherwise the money disappears into some void that requires another fee just to retrieve it from. I contacted [email protected] but whos knows if there is even anyone checking the inbox and I'm short on time. heres what I asked them;

I need some information regarding the best way to receive funds for purchase of a condo in Thailand.

I have a joint account with you, the other account holder is my Thai partner.
When I went to the bank they told me I could not get a confirmation letter because I no longer have my work permit. I read on your website that I could open an account with only my passport and drivers licence so I can think of 3 options.
1. Open a new account in my name - Would I be able to get Confirmation letter of International Inward Funds Transfer letter if I don't use my work permit to open an account?
2. Have my partner ask for Confirmation letter of International Inward Funds Transfer from our joint account - is it possible that she receives and sends money without me there?
3. Have my partner open a new account only in her name.
Could you please advise what would be best in my situation.
Also I read on your online instructions that I need to specify that the money is for a condo when I send it. As I am transferring money via your London branch I need to put the account number followed by BKKBTHBK in the reference box so where do i specify that the money is for a condo?
Thanks for your help,
Can anyone offer advice or cheap and quick alternatives?
Thanks
