To Farangs in general.

Its really amazing, how people in Thailand pick huge bogies from their nose whilst in general conversation in public. I for one, have noticed them stick their fingers up that big crater in a carefree nonchalant manner pulling down anything they happen to come across. Then, ether flick it into the air or casually wipe it on their clothes or whatever takes ones fancy as if its a natural ruse that nobody consciously pays any attention too .

Don't know about anyone else from the western side of things. However, I was taught from a young age, this was disgusting and rude. Please don't give it the culture or thainess approval crap - be honest. My missus from Laos used to do it on a regular basis although now knows it infuriates me somewhat !!

I'm not being over the top nor mean this to be slanderous in any fashion whatsoever. Its just a general observation.

Scot, next time you go to your home country, observe your compatriots.

They do exactly the same as in Thailand.

And you have put me off my food with your trolling post.

Doesn't worry me at all. If you have something up there creating minor discomfort then why not remove it?

In the west, sure, it is considered socially unacceptable to do in public, but not sure why it needs to be considered so.

Interesting the topics people sign up on TV for.

Probably got fleeced whilst on holiday and now back home trying to think of how to get revenge. biggrin.png

Seems like your well informed about Scotland my kind friend. If per chance one cares to differ, can assure you would tell the offensive person to go wash their hands. What who or when does a post be categorised as trolling ?

Yes, I am, travelled in Scotland many times and especially, Glasgow.

If you haven't been there, try it next time, quite interesting.

As about trolling, yes it is, just another attempt to bash Thais.

According to my wife it is ugly and disgusting and real Thais don't do that.

So it must have been fake Thais crazy.gif.pagespeed.ce.dzDUUqYcHZ.gif

I am crafty and wipe it under the chair..................whistling.gif .................smile.png

I pick my nose when I am in a restaurant and see someone smoking, and make sure they see me.

Just another big difference in cultures!

Thais consider it disgusting when a westerner blows his nose into a tissue or handkerchief and then returns same to his pocket!

Better to just flick it or spit it, or suck it in and swallow it and be rid of it I guess!

BTW....I have heard western doctors say the asians may be correct and that "blowing" may not be very good for you!

Anyway, it got your attention being a fully fledged opinionated member of high regard. I'm overwhelmed with emotion .. hahaha .. loosen up my friend its nothing that serious .. worse things happening around the world..
