Tapster Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Hi, If anyone knows, please, can I port my number from a True-H pay-as-you-go free tourist SIM to a True contract? Reading between the lines, I think that the answer may be here, but not stated specifically. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/664856-is-it-possible-to-keep-your-mobile-number-when-switching-carriers/#entry7583127 We came for seven months and want to live here but when we go back to South Africa for six months, we'll lose our numbers as they have to be used every 30 days, I think. Many people have our numbers in Thailand so we'd rather keep them long term. Many thanks in advance,
Chicog Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I don't know about True, but with 1-2-Call I buy Bt500 of Credit and it's valid for 12 months from that date. Have you actually checked True's expiry policy?Best done in a (True) shop than over the phone in my experience..
lomatopo Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 No need, just keep it prepaid and perform the requisite number of small top-ups: six or seven individual top-ups of 12 baht should cover you during your absence. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/708991-sim-topup-validity-of-1-year-now-possible/
Tapster Posted May 12, 2014 Author Posted May 12, 2014 Late, but grateful thanks for your help on this query. Cheers
