pitrevie Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 I gather you can be approached by supposedly newly arrived visitors and asked if you can show them what Thai money looks like. You then take out your wallet to show them and then..... 2
Popular Post chooka Posted May 5, 2014 Popular Post Posted May 5, 2014 Khun Duangmanee, you are a silly person. 6
ezzra Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 No surprise there, more foreigners more crimes, Pattaya attract all sort of "tourist" from the well hilled to the down right scum bags, thieves and petty criminals, add to the equation lack of abilities to police all this mayhem compounding with the fact that you can bribe your self out from almost any crime and you have a hot house conditions for crimes... 2
Popular Post Suradit69 Posted May 5, 2014 Popular Post Posted May 5, 2014 it was clear that many were missing, equating to around 100,000 Baht in value. She must have shown him one helluva selection of notes if a few missing examples amounted to Baht 100.000. This sounds a bit like the tourists who claim they were out for a stroll on Beach Rd at 3:00 in the morning and had a bag stolen that contained 5 cell phones, 3 laptops, 2 iPods, bearer bonds, various currencies, diamonds and the secret recipe for Coca Cola. One feels one's credulity being stretched. 15

Popular Post alfalfa19 Posted May 5, 2014 Popular Post Posted May 5, 2014 Bogus. I can barely get them to change one 100 dollar traveler's check, and very grudgingly at that. I can't picture any of these money changers putting thousands of dollars in currency out for me to peruse. 4
Mrjlh Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 What other foreign currency is larger in value than a $100 bill? Because if they were hundred dollar bills she showed them there would be 31 of them to make 100,000B. We don't issue $500 dollar bills. So what did she show them. Gold coins?
JesseFrank Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Haven't there been a few identical stories over the years ? I guess I'm off to the nearest exchange booth to look at some currencies 2

Payboy Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Khun Duangmanee, you are a silly person. yes, but she will be promoted soon... She can apply for the vacant CFO position at Thai Air.
JoeThePoster Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 What's a nice girl like her doing in a place like that?
lee b Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Yes the girl didn't know what she was about to do is just so wrong, but this guys picture should be sent to every Thai airport and border crossing in the hope of catching him. Thats if he has'nt already left !
SOTIRIOS Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 ...this is getting scary... ...incident after incident....go exchange money....get accused of something.....the teller's word against yours... ...last time...2 days after the fact....it was deemed a foreigner had exchanged counterfeit currency....

Anyhow 100,000 Bahts very hard to explain.

The UK £100 and Euro 100 is worth a heap more than that your shitty easily faked USD$100. You only need 18 UK £100 notes. In my business we transact over a billion baht a year and not one $1 in USD now.

stockholm1995 Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Let us count. She placed the bank notes close to the opening through the front window of the booth( 50 x 100 $) She grabbed them back and notes equating to around 100,000 Baht in value was missing which means 30 x 100$ was missing. 60% of the bank notes gone and she didn´t notice that. Maybe they took 1 bank note and run away and here she take the chance to make some extra money and who is going to believe the tourists when police arrest them. 1
Asiantravel Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Not the old “ can I see some money “trick again? I mean, at the very least you would expect the employers of people like Khun Duangmanee to warn them of this ploy

So it still doesn't add up unless they were one ounce Kruger-rand's.
Strangebrew Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 First of this would be a first I never had an exchange booth hand me any money first unless they had mine in hand. I think this dumb broad either gave some to boyfriend as loan but he didn't come back to replace it as promised so an Indian man makes exchange and she put on a play for camera to cover her being so stupid. 1
Strangebrew Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 And here I thought Thai's were suppose to be smarter than most so Professor explain this.
