MattGreenfield
Hi, Does anyone know of a shop in Chiang Mai specializing in old Honda bikes? I've found the following shop in Bangkok that has exactly what I'm looking for, but don't fancy having it delivered here. http://www.pudfunshop.com/ They sell nicely restored bikes at 22K, which I don't think is bad at all... I may be wrong however. If anyone has bought one or knows of a good shop to recommend that would be great. I know where quite a few shops specializing in Vespa are but haven't come across a classic Honda place yet. Thanks
ll2
I see youngsters doing long group rides on them. But they also bore the engine and go a lot faster. Nice bikes but they are not enough for the inclines of Chiang mai if you don't bore the engine. Edited May 7, 2014 by ll2
MattGreenfield
Yeah that's what I would look to do too. I have another bike for around town, this one is for the riding into the countryside for work and for trips at the weekend.
guzzi850m2
Just be careful with an old bike like that, many don't have a green book even when selling them from a shop.
moe666
Two years ago there was a big tour of the bikes around Chiang Mai, I was coming from the east and they were strung out up and down the east mountains some going about 20k grunting up the hills. That's what's stopped me from creating a bobber out of a JX110....sure would be embarrassing struggling up a hill with my fat arse on it even if they bike looked good trying,

BlackArtemis
He's in Lamphun and has single handedly screwed the market by buying up 100's - 1000's of classic bikes. He sells them for about 18-25k restored https://www.facebook.com/ttomlamphun?fref=ts Check out Cm-club as well A c70 costs 6000-30k depending on condition and legality If you want to see some cool things, look at what the Indonesians are doing with these things.
