Hong Kong tycoons to go on trial in corruption case

HONG KONG: -- Two billionaire property developers are due to go on trial in Hong Kong in the city's biggest ever corruption case.


Thomas and Raymond Kwok are accused of giving bribes in exchange for information on land sales between 2005 and 2007.

Hong Kong's former chief secretary Rafael Hui is also on trial, accused of receiving bribes.

All three, who were arrested in March 2012, deny any wrongdoing. The hearing takes place at Hong Kong's High Court.

The Kwok brothers head Sun Hung Kai Properties, Asia's most valuable estate agency.
