I tried posting the following to the "Ask a Lawyer" forum and it was denied, stating that I need a "secure key." Can you help me?

My Thai foster daughter was arrested for drugs. She is 25 years old and was staying in a hotel in Chiang Mai with her boyfriend.

He went out to the parking area, and received 10,000 (!) yaa baa pills from someone. While there, the police arrested him. Then the police went into the hotel room and arrested my foster daughter.

She states that she didn't know anything about the drug deal and her byfriend told the police the same thing. She had a blood test for drugs and there were no drugs in her body.

She has been in the remand prison for three months and they will not allow her to post bail, because of the quantity of drugs.

The attorney she had was useless and, despite her pleading innocent - and the boyfriend pleading guilty - they will be tried together.

Was this arrest even legal? She was not at the scene of the drug deal and there is no evidence tying her to the drug deal.

David, I had this issue also when I was in Thailand.

My issue came from the internet dropping out, then reconnecting.

But, for some reason, there was a request similiar to what youy have experienced.

i would be working very hard to ensure she gets decent counsel who can ensure she is tried separately.

i would not be asking here purely to avoid the baseless speculation and smug moralizing you have already seen here.

My wife has a 25 year old daughter who does mix with these scrotes............I/we tried to help but to no avail........
