Are government offices open tomorrow?

My wife says government offices are shut tomorrow and we need to get her and the kids new ID cards (changed tabien bahn) before we go to get a new non o spousal visa on Tuesday ( I know thats a holiday). Any info would be appreciated

No.... All government offices have been closed until Monday next week, and possibly extended to Wednesday in reaction to the current political climate.

As I understand it, the reasoning is because of fear of red shirt activists taking over government offices across the country. So is for safety reasons to protect the gov office workers from potential terrorist attacks.
