Mobile data

Featured Replies

Could someone please explain the implications of turning mobile data on, what is it for? I must of turned it on by mistake recently and it took all my credit very quickly, with it off I can receive email and do everything I could with it on so what's it for?

Also does anyone know the one 2 call code for extending credit lifetime.

I'm guessing you might have an Android smartphone? iPhone? Windows phone? And that you are using AIS/One-2-Call, prepaid?

Unless you have specifically subscribed to some sort of daily, weekly, monthly time/volume-based plan, you will be paying (2 baht/MB or 1 baht/min) for your use of mobile data, and it can be very easy to draw down a pre-paid balance in a short amount of time.

By "mobile data" we mean: 2G (GSM: EDGE/GPRS) or 3G.

Maybe you are also using WiFi?

AFAIK, there is no code to extend validity with AIS/One-2-Call, but they may now give 30 days for top-ups of as little as 10 baht, and you may be able to accumulate these up to a maximum of 365 days. They also have a Mao Mao promotion which gives an extra 30 days valiidity, along with 30 minutes of voice calling over 5 days.
