Cousin came into Thailand by air from Oz on 30 day on arrival for birth of his son.

30 days up on 16th this month. What are his options, if any, to extend his stay?

Closest immigration is in pattaya.

If his son has arrived and his name is on the birth certificate he can get a 60 day extension at immigration for visiting his family. Cost 1900 baht.

He can apply for a 60 day extension, assuming his child has Thai nationality, with the birth certificate naming him as the father.

- note from mother confirming relationship/visiting

- passport

and copies, etc will be required.
