Actually i thought the dog was more playful than vicious with the young kid ( maybe i am wrong though) and i have seen cats and dogs play together with mock fights . Good feel good story and a good laugh but i thinks it shouldn't be taken too seriously.

The Dog ripped open the Childs leg in 2 places,if the Cat had not intervened,it could have been the childs death. Now the Dog is on Death row! Had it been your child (if you have one) I'm sure you would have thought the dogs intentions were more life threatening for the child. We should all remember Dogs descended from wolves!......

In my country we believe dogs descended from werewolves. Evil beings with fleas. If we catch one we will kill it and eat barbecue werewolf ribs with garlic sauce.

and what would you do to the owner.

Might be a dog that is normally good but likes chasing people on bikes. In this case the kid couldn't get away. Cat might have been protecting the kid, but might also just hate the dog..

What the CCTV showed was a dog stalking the child, before the attach there seemed no real aggression until he jumped the boy, but the dog went in hard pulled the boy like a rag doll, I think that dog could have badly hurt a adult if he so wished.

I watched the footage a couple of days ago on Tabloid Television in Oz and there was no mention of the injuries to the boy just an emphasis on the how the cat chased the dog and how the cat was a stray that followed them home six years ago. I apologise - it is not a laugh if the boy was injured as he was .

A better clip including inter view with cat owner and cat: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-27428819

and what would you do to the owner.

The owner should be investigated, if proof found of neglect, cruelty or the dog was trained to be vicious then the owner should be prosecuted, and band from keeping animals.

yes b.b.too many bad owners who don't give a dam,if they are found guilty then the dog should be saved.

and b.b.can you change your avatar, that was one of my favourite.I had a house full of them jugs.HIC

I think there should be special kennels (secure units) where the dogs can live out their natural lives and the owners forced to pay for their up keep.

As for the Gut Rot Aviator, it stays tongue.png

Dog will be euthanized in ten days after rabies testing. Notice there were "two" cameras. They've had issues before this. It was re[ported but not verified on Television News a lawsuit was filed against the dog owners.

There is indeed something very wrong with that dog and one does have to question how its owners treat it....

The dog isn't suitable for having the run of the street, but really he was just being a dog.. Should have been kept enclosed where he couldn't endanger the public.
