Where To Buy Shoes

I am a 6'1" woman who recently moved to Thailand. I realize I am off the charts as far as sizes go here.

Can anyone tell me where I can buy womens shoes in a US size 10 1/2 or EU 42?

I neither relish the idea of having to travel to Europe to buy shoes, nor having to buy men's sandals all the time.

What is a tall girl to do in Thailand?

R :o

You can get shoes made in Thailand, there are a few shops on the main road behind The Oriental and Shagrila hotels where the Dome is (sorry don't know the name of the road), the prices are reasonable, the quality is quite good and there are a number of different styles. They may even be able to copy a style that you already have

I have seen shoe shops in Pratunam with signs saying "Made to order".

Yes, you can go to Pratunam. Very good place with a new shopping mall. Was there already, but no more shure the new shopping Mall name - soemthing about TITANIUM or what.

Say to the Taxidriver: "Pra-tu-nam" shopping center.

You will probably have to have them made to order.

I am a tall man and have the same problem.

IME the quality and size accuracy is rather hit and miss.

Never pay more than 50% as deposit and be prepared to walk away

if they do not fit to your satisfaction.

Nowadays I do buy my shoes on trips overseas.

with all the 6' tall ladyboys in BKK ... this is a problem?

:o Oh, this is possible! But if it's (US size) 6' for woman than it is 23.5 Centimeters. My wife (Thai) has Europe size 38 = 24.5 Centimeter.

But she asked: "Can anyone tell me where I can buy womens shoes in a US size 10 1/2 or EU 42?"

Converted - if correct - with the Link below: (US w) 10.5' = 26.7 Centimeters, or Europe Size 42 = 26 Centimeters.

My size is Europa 44 - can found in some place in Bangkok sure.

I guess your referring to the new "Platinum Fashion Mall" next to Pantip Plaza?

It's best to purchase big size shoes when overseas, as what I did mine in singapore. Getting big size shoes and brands is much easy over there and the prices are reasonable.
