Wheelchair rental

From the 'old Mum' I take it you're a Brit.

The nearest Red Cross 'depot' in the UK will lend her a wheelchair free for as long as she needs, just ask her local hospital or GP surgery.

If she/you ask the airline for wheelchair assistance on all flights she will have a very easy trip (with or without her own wheelchair).

Before anyone jumps in to say this is taking advantage, the Red Cross always welcome donations and the OP did offer to hire.

You can buy a new wheel chair from Fascino Pharmacy on Central Rd near the Town Hall for about 5000-6000 baht. A friend of mine was quoted 20,000 baht a month rental from one of the hospitals here. Its best to buy and then your mum can either take it back the UK or donate it to Banglamung Hospital.
