Thai military coup draws international censure

Featured Replies

Have to tread carefully here but whilst it is never a good thing to see a democracy fall under military rule sometimes it is the lesser of two evils. And when foreign governments comment on what has happened they should also be mindful, as we are in Thailand, of who is actually the head of state here.

In spite of some rumours to the contrary it is not The Sandman.

It never has been a democracy.

In a democracy the military is answerable to the government (the people).

LOL..."The Pentagon is reviewing military relations with its SE Asia Ally". What a joke. The US has been licking Thailand's boots for years now, trying to keep it's influence and not to loose out to China. Now they are trying to threaten the Thai military cheesy.gif

If I was the Thai General, I would have the following message to the US and it's Western Allies..."DILLIGAF"?

You have no idea what is going on behind the scenes.

Read Musharaf's book.

Do you think the diplomatic niceties going on in public are what plays behind the scene?

If an ally becomes too much of a problem then they can easily be dropped.

Do you really think anybody here in South East Asia trusts the Chinese?

If you would be a Thai General you would be very quite regarding the US and it's western allies - it would take the US military probably a week to take over this country and run the Thai military out of their own country.

Unbelievable; the EU must think they are the policemen of the world.

Europeans should be VERY ashamed; how dare they meddle in Thailand's affairs.

These are the same euro trash fools that gave us Hitler, Churchill, Stalin etc and now they are sticking their nose where it doesn't belong.

EUROPE- !!!!!! No one cares what you or your corrupt imperialist, capitalist group of criminals and thugs think!!!!!

And if you think that Europe "gave us" Stalin no-one should take any notice or care about what you think.

If memory serves; Stalin worked with and made agreements with Hitler and Churchil, so yes he is Europe's son.

He is ot as bad a Churchil though; a man who bombed his own people dismembering women and children in his own cities.

UK should be ashamed of this war criminal; he makes Nixon and Bush look like choir boys.
