Are Attached Files Now Not Possible?

I've tried to attach small files to my posts and they fail. The message is: "This upload failed".

Are they now being blocked?

Something to do with the site being overloaded due to the coup?

Just determined that the "Basic" uploader works, but the "Advanced" doesn't. Never had this problem before though. I'm using Firefox 28.

Occasionaly the advanced or multi image uploader fails.

No rhyme or reason why, I revert back to the older one and no issues.

I understand that's it's frustrating ... but it seems to be a current occurrence,

In fact, I'd forgotten all about the "Basic Uploader" until after I started this topic!

After I checked this topic for replies, I decided to give uploading another go and, after it failed again, that's when I noticed the "Basic Uploader" option and found that it worked.

I'll try to add another picture now... (I just noticed that the site is still using the Basic Uploader for me. I guess the site remembers my last choice.)

I'll now try the Advanced Uploader:

- Yes, both OK now. Mystery unexplained. Problem temporarily abated.

Likely a Firefox issue with that new version.

Could you please try if it works ok with Chrome, for example?

The trouble is that the problem has now gone away. I can upload using either the Advanced or Basic uploaders:

Basic:

Advanced:

If the Advanced Uploader doesn't work again, I'll test it with Chrome.

I don't think it's this version of Firefox that's the problem as I've stayed with this version for quite a while, but it may be a combination of Firefox and Flash, as Flash keeps being "updated" and the Advanced Uploaded says it needs Flash version 9 (or newer, I presume).
