Franco governed for 36 years in Spain.
Ending when he died in 1975
Meanwhile the opposing team became educated.
It wont matter what this General does.
It doesn't matter how long it takes.
History shows us, that one day in the future the ''people '' always win!

'' Power concedes nothing without a demand.

It never did and it never will.''
''Nobody in the world, nobody in history, has ever gotten their freedom by appealing to the moral sense of the people who were oppressing them.''

"What is your opinion of this statement?"

I think that there is an element of truth in the statement.

I also think that you are backdooring a populist statement to make a political statement about the current situation in Thailand.

Good luck with that ... rolleyes.gif

General Franco was a blessing to Spain.

He managed the country clear of atrocities of Germany, adventurism of Italy, participation in murderous WWII and

pulled Spain out of economic collapse.

I totally agree with your quotations on power, but fail to see the point... facepalm.gif

Show me the today's winner in Spain, please.

There are enough political threads in the news forum.
