I've got a 2013 2 door MT 2.2 Wildtrack with approx 35K kms on the clock.

I'm thinking about trading it in for a new 4 door AT 3.2 Wildtrack with all the bells and whistles.

Does anyone have any idea what i'll get for if 1. i sell it private 2. what trade in price i'll get?

Is there a big difference in performance between the 2 above mentioned vehicles?

Is there still a massive lead time on these vehicles?

Thanks

What's the insured value on your insurance paperwork? That's a pretty good idea of trade-in value. I thought the WildTrak badging was exclusively for the 4-door model.

If you are carrying loads and towing, the 3.2 will be much superior. Otherwise it may only mean marginally sharper acceleration... and lower mileage.

I think the average wait list is 6-months but there's many tales of people getting one at short notice depending on the dealerships enthusiasm and/or incentives.

No idea about the insured value, will need to check...

Thanks for the other info.

Any ideas about what? About your thoughts? What is there to think about that needs additional brain power?

Estimate the trade-in value of your 2.2.

Call or visit the Ford shop and get a quote and delivery estimate for a 3.2.

Ask them what they will give you for a trade-in 2.2.

Do the math.

That's it no?

Or you could complicate things a bit by getting a quote from a tent or listing it for a private sale. However, I would reckon the time/effort would negate any minimal financial gains on doing a trade-in with the Ford dealer.

Oh yes, don't expect too much extra financial excitement if you have pimped the 2.2 somewhat while you have been tootling around in it. One man's bling is another man's bad taste.
