Sorry. I have looked again through threads and can't find anything. Wondered if anyone has found an insurance company that will give valid travel insurance with current political climate and situation with army in Thailand.

The one topic running recently (found by cleverly searching for "travel insurance," )

may have some information of use otherwise, if you are in UK now, it would seem there would be any number of reliable sources there to check on what insurance is available and what restrictions may apply ... say maybe travel agents or insurance companies that offer travel insurance.

Nope. Nothing there regarding my question. Read that thread already. I am after insurance that will cover my trip without any issue with coup that would make it invalid and worthless if any claim. So yes from UK. Wondered if anyone has found a UK company that will insure to Thailand under current climate. As per my original post. Thanks anyway for trying to he 'clever' lol (just joking/teasing)

Here is a recent e-mail from Insure and Go, a UK insurer, It isn't completely clear but appears to suggest that most usual cover will remain in place, while any claim relating to incidents affected by martial law won't be covered. I'm not sure myself quite where the line is drawn.

Thank you for contacting InsureandGo Insurance Services Ltd. We can confirm that our policies provide cover within the terms and conditions for travel to Thailand. We can confirm however, no cover will be provided in relation to the Martial Law in Thailand at the moment.

Please note that you should check the Foreign and Commonwealth (FCO) website for any travel restrictions in the countries you intend to visit.

If you enter countries or parts of countries that the FCO warn "against all travel" then we will not accept any claim from you that occurs in that country or area.

If you travel to a country or area where the FCO state "all but essential travel" then your travel insurance policy will be valid within the terms and conditions. However, should claims arise from instances related to the reason for the FCO travel restriction having been issued, then a claim will not be considered for those instances.

Should you require any further information then please do not hesitate to contact us at Customer Services on 0207 748 0062.
