In order to get a residence permit you need to have worked and paid taxes (and be able to prove it) for 5 years in Thailand. In order to be able to work in Thailand, you need a non-imm B Visa with a valid WP and the extension to stay. That is why retirees with "only" a non-imm O Visa and extension to stay based on retirement are NOT able to get Thai citizenship, no matter how long the live in Thailand 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I mean for example if my gf got businesses then she can get me as employee. She need 4 thai staff, and 2 staff if company is not oldwr the. 1 year... i know that way. But had friends who told me they got differwnt way. Like they open chocolate shop in bkk thonglor. So they register company 3 thais and farang name in company shares... Then he got wp on that somehow Anyone knows? More details? Wchich way better. B cuz if so I might have possibility on both ways.
