I'm planning to go to Vientiane this/next week to get a single entry non-immigration O based on being married to a foreigner with a work permit as their dependent.

Does anyone know of a visa agent out there, or in Bangkok, who can help me with the form submission - I'm a bit worried about not having the right documentation and getting a rejection.

Would an agent be able to help me out? I used one in the past when getting a Double Entry Tourist visa in Vientiane and it worked well but I can't get hold of them now.

Are there people outside the consulate that can help me out? If I do get rejected for the non-imm O, would they be able to see that I got a (third) double entry visa to tide me over?

Thanks!

You should be fine. What you need to bring is proof of the mirage, a copy of her passport showing her extension of stay and a copy of her work permit. A letter from her employer confirming she works for them and asking for a visa for you might also be handy.

Thanks guys. Will see what I can do about the letter from her employee. Should I bring a bank book (in her name) or other proof of finances i.e her wage slips?

I have money coming into my UK account on a fairly regular basis from sources in the UK but I don't have bank statements but could print out the online statements. This could help prove I don't need to work? I could bring this but don't want to confuse things as they might wonder where the money is coming from etc?

Can I also just check that when applying for a non-immigration visa type O I can drop the application in in the morning between 8.30-11.30 (Thursday) and collect it the following day (Friday) between 13.30 and 15.30 and then catch a flight back to Bangkok in the evening (18.40)?

On the website is says:

The Process will take TWO working days, visa applicants will receive their passport back in the afternoon of the following working day.

Source: http://vientiane.thaiembassy.org/vientiane/en/consular/consular_check/

Is that not one working day i.e. roughly 24 hours?

Also, is this the form I need, it looks like it is for a LAO citizen?

There aren't any holidays listed for June: http://vientiane.thaiembassy.org/vientiane/en/embassy/embassy_time/index.php?month=6&year=2014&bxajaxid=

Thanks!

You can apply on Thursday morning and pick it up on Friday afternoon. They count the day you apply and the day you pick it up thus the 2 days mentioned.

That is the correct application form for everybody.

There are no holidays until July on the calender.
