If you think the majority of men came here for 'cheap and easy women', that's merely a reflection on the company you choose to keep.

Why would anyone come for beautiful, easy women when the temples are so bitchin? rolleyes.gif

Why would anyone be interested in fascinating culture, delicious food, beautiful beaches, friendly people, stunning scenery, or the experience of living in a different part of the world, when they could just live out their years as a tragic, deluded pussyhound and then sneer at anybody who didn't choose the same tawdry lifestyle as them?

The culture is dull, the food is poisonous, the beaches are dirty and the water filled with sewage, Thai people are not friendly unless there is something in it for them, plenty of way more interesting countries in the world but they don't have the cheap pussy.

I'm considering moving to Nepal for a while, couple of my pals have done it, and claim it's not only great but the cost of living is much lower (no women you would want to have though). And as a bonus, the Nepalese actually genuinely appear to like foreigners.

But there's nothing that the Nepalese will like about like you.

People really stick around in a country they dislike that much just because they can pay disinterested local women to have sex with them?

I can't imagine what sort of life leads you down that particular path.

Living in America first, but I love Thailand. The gorgeous women are just icing on the cake.

Why would you imagine disliking your list is important to another person?

I'm here, at the moment, because I'm Thai and about 200 of my family live here.

As a retired person, doesn't matter what part of the world I live in all that much.

Decent internet provides me with, books, movies, tv, games, and chat, no matter where I am in the world.

Food I can prepare myself, no need to live in India to eat Indian curry.

Jungle, forest, mountains all over the world. As long as it's nor raining (not keen on being out in rain).

My biggest single reason to dislike Thailand would be the coup.

Don't mind a holiday in a country ruled by a military dictatorship but wouldn't move to one.

I guess it just depends on ones point of view. I find the Thai people very friendly. I have traveled throughout the provinces, and am often taken by how open, warm, helpful and friendly the people are. It seems when you get off the beaten tourist track, people are genuinely curious and open to strangers. ALOT more than I can say about Vietnam, China, and many other places. I do tend to agree aa out the lack of culture. When you say the water is foul, I assume you mean in the Gulf, or possibly the waters near Phuket? Have you even seen the waters on the Andaman, away from the Phuket area? Stunningly gorgeous. And the food? Honestly, where have you been eating? I cannot help but eat gorgeous food daily here. Fresh, delicious, and reasonable. I get a sense that maybe you have been here too long, were in the wrong place, or just need a change of scenery?

I agree, superficial friendliness everywhere.

Food, sauces are delicious, but the contents, fruit and veg all have serious pesticide problems, pesticides you can't use in the USA. Meat is half rotten, very little refrigeration used in the supply chain, meat sits out all day on a fly blown table in the markets.

You only see the surface, and never look underneath (which might be a good thing).

For me friendly is friendly. Surface or not. I could care less. Where I come from people are like human icebergs. It warms my heart when I get a smile from a stranger. I get that all the time here. I do not eat meat. I eat a lot of seafood, and it is great here. The fruits are beautiful here. Guess it just depends on one's outlook? Surely you can admit that?

A lot of the seafood contains formaldehyde.

I've lived my whole life in Asia. 35 years in Hong Kong and almost 6 years here in Bangkok.

I have dated Asian women but when it comes to a serious relationship and considering someone as a life partner my preference is Western because of cultural, language and class reasons.

My problem in Bangkok is I can't find which bars all these single Western ladies go to socialise, hence I never meet any.

Sean, sorry but just what do you mean by "class" exactly?

It sounds like he should be looking for Asian women from Western backgrounds, but maybe the young attractive ones want nothing to do with him. As deep as my feelings for her are, Vanessa Mae certainly would not want anything to do with me.
