Nissan SR20 DET turbo engine, can run on LPG, also turbo setting

Featured Replies

I have a Nissan SR20 DET Turbo engine, Turbo Greddy TD06-20G, can this engine be run on LPG, it has a piggy back ECU F-Con HKS.

Also at what revs should the turbo kick in for normal every day driving, it is a 5 speed manual gearbox.

Regards Tom

I would HIGHLY recommend that you go and join a few SR20DET forums to get the information that you need. This is a very popular engine with lots of available information.

Don't expect to get a lot of useful information here.

FWIW, yes, you can run it on LPG, the F-CON piggyback can handle it. Just make sure your LPG system is a quality one and in good shape.

It would be better if you switch to a standalone ECU, like Megasquirt 3. Then you can fine tune it for petrol (or E85) and have a separate map for LPG.

The timing curves are slightly different. If I were you, ditch the LPG and run it on E85. Way more fun.

Hi Thank's for the information, the stand alone ECU Megasquirt 3, can this be tuned by my self or by a professional.

You can do it yourself, unless you are a tard. It requires a lot of reading and research. Probably no one in Thailand knows this system, but it has a large user community world wide
