Military and Bangkok Metropolitan Police to reorganize motorbike taxi services

Featured Replies

its all about the money..just like the monthly fee for taking care of drinking places in Bangkoks nightlife areas ..some are police protected others are army and navy

Huh?

Which motorcycle taxi stands in Bangkok are protected by the Navy? blink.pnghuh.png

You are probably new to BKK and thus don't know that the Thai Navy has 3 on the CP river including the large site of the Thai Navy HQ just south of Wat Arun and next to the Royal Barges Museum.

Just ask the motorbike taxi stands around Arun Amarin rd. Everyone has their turf mapped out.

A few stops in bkk has a "price list" but the prices are always double when you ask them. Not holding my breath.

The ones in the Watergate area?

Some of you guys make me laugh! you really think the army took power to 'clean up' Thailand, get rid of the mafia and establish the Rule of Law kind of like a new sheriff in some small town in America!

Their remit is simple: get rid of any trace of the Shinawatras, restore the gravy train to the Ruling elite, tinker with the constitution a little so that their political wing: the 'Democrat' party can win elections and then return power to a civilian government shorn of even more powers than last time (by placing ever more powers in the hands of unelected QANGO's packed with their friends), before the Americans cut off even more of the latest hi-tech military hardware.

Rubbish. They are doing loads to benefit the general public. Even down to van parking space, organizing traffic, stopping those who try to run mafia business over the heads of motorcycle taxis. There is a lot more going on than just trying to shut out one squint eyed family. They already did that anyhow!
