Carney WINS Canadian Elections

Summary

  • Mark Carney's Liberal Party wins the Canadian election and will form the next government - watch him speak live above

  • But it remains too close to call whether he will secure a majority in parliament, or will have to rely on other parties to govern

  • The Conservatives made major gains but were still defeated, and party leader Pierre Poilievre says "hard lessons" have been learned

  • At the HQs of the two rival parties, there was jubilation among Liberals and tears from Conservatives as they quickly filed out of the venue

  • The projected result completes a stunning turnaround for the Liberal Party, which was languishing in the polls just three months ago before Carney replaced Justin Trudeau as leader and US President Trump upended relations

  • How to respond to Trump was the defining issue of the campaign, and Carney, a former Bank of England governor, capitalised on widespread anger at the US president's trade policy and threats

  • Congratulations to our Canadian friends! You'll now get a PM with vast experience in international economy and dealing with large corporations. An added bonus is that Melania (presumably) doesn't

Commiserations Canucks.

But you voted for it.

Just goes to show not everyone wants the right to lead them. A free country can choose what they want.

Congratulations to our Canadian friends! You'll now get a PM with vast experience in international economy and dealing with large corporations.

An added bonus is that Melania (presumably) doesn't wanna bang him, which, as we all know, was the main reason why Trump hated Trudeau.

PS. Be sure to send Trump a thank you note. Without him this would not have been possible, so at least he did one thing right during his 100 first days!

Congratulations Canada friends.

Elbows up!

I am sure many Canadians will either be thanking Trump for his threats and tariffs so that Carney could win with that huge swing in his favour or the losers will be rightfully calling trump all the epitaphs they can think of.

Indeed. A free country can vote to be slaves to a deeply corrupt and evil globalist cabal of unelected scumbags. Don't come crying to uncle Donald.

Ah, the evil cabal of globalists. The faceless group of masterminds moving and dealing in the shadows, never seen, never named.

Or is it the plot of the next Bond movie....🤔

'I'm Sorry To Say': Canadian Voter's Absolutely Unfiltered Take On Trump Goes Viral

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/canadian-voter-trump-unfiltered_n_68103fe8e4b03f197f784357

“I think who I voted for would be the best to take care of Trump,” she said. “Because Trump is, I’m sorry to say, an a**hole, and he shouldn’t even be president of the United States. But because he is, we need a strong person so that we can stand strong.”

So much better for Canada!

Congrats on using common sense and not buying into the cult .

Great victory speech.

The majority of Americans who are decent (remember the maga cult is only 35 percent at most) respect the right of sovereign nations such as UKRAINE and CANADA to keep their sovereignty and if need be go to defensive war against fascist agressors to keep it.

And more good news...

Pierre Poilievre, Canada’s Opposition Leader, Loses Seat in Parliament

Pierre Poilievre, the leader of the Conservative Party, was unseated as the parliamentary representative of his Ottawa district in a stunning upset that could put his leadership of the party in question...

Bruce Fanjoy, the Liberal candidate who is a well-known community volunteer but was initially considered a long shot, won the race.

Mr. Poilievre embraced some of Mr. Trump’s rhetoric, railing against “radical woke ideology” while pledging to defund Canada’s national broadcaster and cut foreign aid.

Is that you confirming 6% unemployment is a confirmation of losing and if so can we hold you to that?!

You really have no sense of irony do you. No self awareness at all. Hilarious.

Actually, the opposite is true. Practically none of them are heading down to Florida anymore.

Yes costing the US billions of dollars.

And Canada is making big money selling Chinese items to visiting US citizens.

I am even thinking about moving back to Canada.

A great independent nation!

An IQ test or proof of knowledge in politics should be mandatory before having the right to vote....

but in reality, because of the higher labor force participation rate (65%) compared to the US (62%) ... 6% is not as bad as you make it out to be.  You habitually overlook very relevant factors while searching for some way to tarnish those who don't agree with your myopic views.
