Looking for reliable inexpensive cellular service w/ internet access for iPhone

Featured Replies

I have been in Thailand for roughly 3 weeks and expecting to stay long term. I currently have my U.S. ATT service which includes Data, Texting, Phone & all bells n whistles.

I would like to get some info on where to go to get my IPhone unlocked, and set up in Thailand with a local number. It's important that I still have access to all of the toys on my current phone. Internet access (through VPN which I already have) but would like to have a plan that is the same as what I have with ATT.

I am currently close to Ao Nang and Krabi so any help would be appreciated.

What is the best provider?

Where can I go?

Thanks

Stevo

iPhone must be carrier unlocked (call AT&T). As for data, text, all the whistles, google it. There are three main providers in Thailand, AIS, True-H and DTAC (and some smaller resellers).

Where in Thailand do you think you'll be going to? All3 have decent coverage in the main areas, but really only Truemove-H has decent 3G coverage upcountry.

AIS as well...
