Pattaya tries again to register boat owners

PATTAYA:--Nat Jabjai, Deputy Director-General of the Marine Department and Rewat Phoriang, Director of the Pattaya Marine Office continued efforts to bring order to the city’s boating industry, calling in hundreds of owners to register their vessels and businesses.

Deputy Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh led the June 12 meeting with top Marine Department officials. Boat operators were instructed to file boating licenses, business licenses, maintenance records, and inventories of safety equipment. They also were told to fill out forms listing information on boat crews.

Let's get real.

This is the real world.

I confidently believe the boat owners / operators will shove these requests "under the carpet".

Just a matter of when the next disaster occurs.

Simples..not registered no float..why do they have to try "again" baffles me..

Civil servants do not go up against the rich here, surprised you cant figure that out on your own

It would have to be a very brave cop to impound a 50 million baht boat...

Send in the army. They seem to be the only ones in the country who can accomplish anything.

I have a feeling that after they are done with Phuket, Pattaya is next.
