A furniture manufacturer has been widely praised for its swift and compassionate response to residents affected by a devastating warehouse fire in Bangkok’s Lat Krabang district. The blaze, which broke out on 11 May at around 16:00, engulfed over eight rai of warehouse space belonging to King Kitchen, a brand operated by Siam House and Home Co., Ltd. More than 100 fire engines were deployed to control the flames, which generated thick smoke and raised concerns about chemical exposure and air quality in surrounding neighbourhoods. Following the incident, King Kitchen issued a heartfelt statement on its official Facebook page, expressing deep regret for the impact on local communities and promising immediate action to restore normalcy. True to its word, the company dispatched teams to deliver aid and assess the needs of affected residents. Efforts included the distribution of medical kits and face masks, as well as providing health check-ups to locals. Additionally, cleaning supplies, such as mops, detergents, gloves, and buckets, were handed out to help households nearby cope with the aftermath. King Kitchen also coordinated with local leaders and schools to ensure comprehensive recovery efforts. This included hiring professional cleaning services for Lamphaong School, where air conditioning systems, kitchens, dormitories, and playgrounds were cleaned thoroughly. Homes of 14 nearby families also received similar cleaning assistance, with services extending to the cleaning of air conditioners, fans, and even pets. Social media users have been quick to commend the company’s sense of corporate responsibility. Comments on the consumer-focused Facebook page “ผู้บริโภค” (The Consumers) lauded the brand for its humanity and responsiveness. One user wrote, “They’ve won the hearts of animal lovers. I truly admire their empathy towards both people and pets.” Another added, “They should receive a national award for social responsibility. I deeply respect the leadership and staff behind these efforts.” The public sentiment has been overwhelmingly positive, with many pledging to continue supporting the King Kitchen brand. As investigations continue into the cause of the fire, the company’s proactive and compassionate response has become a case study in corporate citizenship, serving as a model for others facing similar crises. Finance Italian-Thai Development Posts Nearly 3 Billion Baht Loss in Q1 as Revenues Plummet

Italian-Thai Development Public Company Limited (ITD), Thailand’s largest construction firm, reported a dramatic downturn in performance for the first quarter of 2025, with revenues nearly halved and a net loss approaching 3 billion baht. According to the company’s filing with the Stock Exchange of Thailand, ITD’s consolidated revenue from construction services for the three-month period ending 31 March 2025 stood at just 5.096 billion baht. This represents a steep drop of over 11.8 billion baht compared to the same period last year. The sharp revenue decline was primarily attributed to the cessation of revenue recognition from a foreign subsidiary that has since been reclassified as an asset held for sale. Additionally, income from several domestic infrastructure projects, such as building construction, railway systems, ports, and drainage canals, also fell significantly. However, revenue from sales and services rose slightly to 1.744 billion baht, up 117 million baht year-on-year. The increase was largely driven by higher income from mining-related services. On the cost side, ITD reported a reduction in construction service costs to 7.967 billion baht, down by 7.6 billion baht from the previous year, also due to the reclassification of the aforementioned foreign subsidiary. Conversely, costs for sales and services increased to 1.822 billion baht, a rise of 175 million baht, reflecting higher mining service costs and increased expenses at certain subsidiaries. The company posted a gross loss of 2.949 billion baht, compared to a gross profit of 1.36 billion baht in Q1 last year. The gross loss margin stood at 43.11%, a significant reversal from the 7.31% gross profit margin recorded in the same quarter of 2024. ITD cited increased losses from major projects, particularly in railway systems, building construction, ports, and industrial facilities, as key factors, along with the elimination of gross profit recognition from the reclassified foreign subsidiary. The company has not yet declared any dividends for the period, and further financial impacts may follow depending on the outcome of ongoing project performance and asset divestment plans. Just a BS meme to give a warm and fuzzy feeling to simple people who think "winning" is actually a goal for Government. That doesn't make sense at all, except to people who don't understand what Governments function in society is. MAGA will have you thinking that "winning" is about crushing half the population and extinguishing the so called "libtards", remember the OP The "Research": They refer to "my own research" but it consists entirely of YouTube videos watched at 3 AM and forwarded Facebook memes.
